About Us – The Galleria Weight Loss Clinic
Alejandro Marquis, M.D.
Alejandro Marquis, M.D., graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Pharmacy in 1987. He then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for medical school, graduating in 1995. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the Central Texas Medical Foundation Residency Program (now known as UT Southwestern Austin) in 1998. He had a busy practice in Austin treating patients in the private practice, hospital and nursing home settings until 2005. He has been a member of several professional organizations including Texas Medical Association, American Association of Family Practice, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Marquis’ practice philosophy is seen within his belief that patients should be involved in their own healthcare decisions to attain a higher sense of well-being. Attaining an in-depth medical history, maintaining a practical approach and concern for his patient’s quality of life, and providing clear explanations to his patients help contribute to their healing. Dr. Marquis and his wife live in the Cypress area and are the parents of three teenage children. He also speaks conversational Spanish. Dr. Marquis sees patients from 16 years of age and up.
